107. Surah Al-Maun
Transliteration:
Bismillaahir Rahmaanir Raheem
Ara ‘aytal lazee yukazzibu biddeen
Fazaalikal lazee yadu’ul-yateem
Wa la yahuddu ‘alaa ta’aamil miskeen
Fa wailul-lil musalleen
Allazeena hum ‘an salaatihim saahoon
Allazeena hum yuraaa’oon
Wa yamna’oonal maa’oon
English:
In the name of Allah, Most Gracious, Most Merciful.
Seest thou one who denies the Judgment (to come)?
Then such is the (man) who repulses the orphan (with harshness),
And encourages not the feeding of the indigent.
So woe to the worshippers
Who are neglectful of their prayers,
Those who (want but) to be seen (of men),
But refuse (to supply) (even) neighbourly needs.
Arabic:
بِسْمِ اللَّهِ الرَّحْمَٰنِ الرَّحِيمِ
1. أَرَأَيْتَ الَّذِي يُكَذِّبُ بِالدِّينِ
2. فَذَٰلِكَ الَّذِي يَدُعُّ الْيَتِيمَ
3. وَلَا يَحُضُّ عَلَىٰ طَعَامِ الْمِسْكِينِ
4. فَوَيْلٌ لِلْمُصَلِّينَ
5. الَّذِينَ هُمْ عَنْ صَلَاتِهِمْ سَاهُونَ
6. الَّذِينَ هُمْ يُرَاءُونَ
7. وَيَمْنَعُونَ الْمَاعُونَ
Hindi: ख़ुदा के नाम से (शुरू करता हूँ) जो बड़ा मेहरबान निहायत रहम वाला है।
(1) क्या तुमने उस शख़्स को भी देखा है जो रोज़ जज़ा को झुठलाता है।
(2) ये तो वही (कम्बख़्त) है जो यतीम को धक्के देता है।
(3) और मोहताजों को खिलाने के लिए (लोगों को) आमादा नहीं करता।
(4) तो उन नमाजि़यों की तबाही है।
(5) जो अपनी नमाज़ से ग़ाफिल रहते हैं।
(6) जो दिखाने के वास्ते करते हैं।
(7) और रोज़ मर्रा की मालूली चीज़ें भी आरियत नहीं देते।
